Floods and landslides leave dozens dead in region

Heavy rains triggered floods and landslides across northern India and Nepal, killing at least 68 people over three days, officials said Sunday. Uttar Pradesh reported 56 deaths and more than 1,000 damaged homes, while Nepal recorded 12 fatalities and seven people missing since Thursday. The disasters come weeks after catastrophic flooding in Nepal killed more than 1,400 people. Ethiopian Forces Clash With Tigray Rebels in Afar

Ethiopian forces fought overnight to prevent Tigray rebels from entering the Afar town of Abala, amid reports of heavy clashes and a telecommunications blackout in northern Ethiopia. Smotrich repeats call to replicate West Bank settlement policies in additional areas

Israel’s finance minister has vowed to expand West Bank settlement policies to northern and southern Israel, in response to an alleged espionage case reported by Israeli media. “It’s time to bring the revolution in Judea and Samaria to the Galilee and the Negev, in order to save the State of Israel from the next October 7,” Bezalel Smotrich said on X. Israeli military claims it hit Hamas commander in attack on northern Gaza’s Jabalia

Israel’s military says it has carried out an attack in northern Gaza’s Jabalia area hitting a Hamas commander, without identifying the victim or providing any evidence. In a statement, the military said it would continue to operate in Gaza “to remove any threat”. As per reports , Israel has carried out several deadly attacks in Gaza today, killing four people, including two children and a woman, near Gaza City, two others in the Khan Younis area and another near Deir el-Balah, according to local medical sources. More than 100 Israeli forces participated in raid in Syria’s Quneitra: State media

Earlier,there were reports of Israeli forces storming Syria’s Jubata al-Khashab in the northern countryside of Quneitra province and detaining two people.
