'NAB Chairman should be carefully considered', CJP

Islamabad: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Umar Ata Bandial advised the Attorney-General of Pakistan (AGP) Ashtar Ausaf to carefully reckon the appointment of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman on Friday. "One should not be influenced by the opinion of anyone outside the system over the appointment of the NAB chairman," he remarked. Govt to approve the new ordinance for NAB without opposition

On Tuesday, Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry stated that govt would not hesitate to approve a new ordinance for the NAB Chairman appointment sans opposition. "The new ordinance will strengthen accountability court and consolidate the system," he explained.
