One dead, four injured in Miranshah blast: Health official

According to a health official, one person was left dead and four were injured in a blast on Datta Khel road in North Waziristan’s Miranshah. The medical superintendent of the Miranshah District Headquarters Hospital, Dr. Wali Zaman, confirmed the incident. Govt initiates talks with Miranshah, Mir Ali protestors

On Thursday, the government constituted a 16-member committee to hold talks with relevant stakeholders to control the deteriorating law and order situation in Miranshah and Mir Ali. According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Defence, the committee has been constituted to control the escalating situation following a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the leader of the opposition in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Akram Khan Durrani on Wednesday.
