Pakistan Navy submarine completes first live-fire test

Pakistan’s first Hangor-class submarine successfully conducted its maiden live weapon firing in the Arabian Sea, the Inter-Services Public Relations said. Pakistan seeks fresh LNG cargo after tender setbacks

Pakistan Liquefied Natural Gas Limited has invited international companies to bid for an LNG cargo scheduled for delivery from September 12 to 16, following two cancelled tenders. Bids must be submitted and will be opened on September 8. The move comes after Pakistan recently secured a record-priced spot LNG cargo at $21.88 per MMBtu. NUWAKOT: Survivors of devastating floods in Nepal say they have little hope of rebuilding after raging waters destroyed homes and farmland. Pabitra Lamsal, who lived in Dhunge Bazaar for more than four decades, lost her family’s two houses and rice fields. “There is no land left at all,” she said. QUETTA: Three brothers were killed and a relative injured when a remote-controlled improvised explosive device (IED) struck their pick-up in Duki district on Sunday, police said. SSP Mansoor Ahmed Buzdar said the vehicle was crossing a seasonal stream near Killi Bakhtair Khan in Luni tehsil when the blast occurred.
