Karachi police arrest eight street criminals

Karachi: Police claimed to have arrested eight suspects who were involved in street crimes and drug peddling in the provincial capital. Police said that the suspects were captured during operations in several areas of the city including Garden, Kalri, Kalakot, Kharadar, and Eid Gah. Funeral prayers of Karachi incident martyrs offered

Karachi: The namaz-e-janaza for all the personnel, who embraced martyrdom in the Karachi Police Office attack last night, was offered in Karachi on Saturday. The funeral of Rangers personnel was offered at the Rangers Headquarters while the funeral of two Karachi Police constables was held at the IG office. The funeral prayers were attended by Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, Corp Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Babar Iftikhar, IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon, and a large number of police and Rangers officers and jawans. Five-member committee to probe Karachi Police Office attack

Karachi: Sindh Inspector General of Police (IG) Ghulam Nabi on Saturday constituted a five-member committee to probe the terrorist attack on the office of the Karachi police chief a day earlier. Three militants were killed and four people, including two policemen and a Sindh Rangers sub-inspector, embraced martyrdom in the nerve-racking operation. Eighteen other people, including police and Rangers personnel, were also injured in the terror attack, which occurred after a deadly suicide attack at a Peshawar Civil Lines mosque that left 84 dead. LEAs launch investigation into KPO attack

Law enforcement agencies (LEAs) have launched an investigation into Karachi police office (KPO) attack. As per details, the LEAs conducted a raid in Bhens colony and arrested the vehicle owner. The vehicle was allegedly used in the KPO attack. Sources said, that the police also identified two alleged terrorists involved in the terrorist attack on the Karachi police office. According to officials, Gunmen attacked the office of the Karachi police chief located on Shahrah-e-Faisal, with an operation currently underway. Reports of firing on Sharea Faisal emerged around 7:15 pm.
