Indian Actor Mushtaq Khan Dies at 75

Indian actor and comedian Mushtaq Khan, widely remembered for his role as Ballu in Welcome, has died at 75, according to the Press Trust of India. His son said Khan had been battling cancer and died at a Mumbai hospital on Thursday. Khan appeared in more than 500 films, including Hera Pheri and Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. JKLF voices concern over Yasin Malik’s legal case

MUZAFFARABAD: The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) on Friday condemned what it called an attempt by Indian authorities to implicate incarcerated chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik in a decades-old murder case. India’s State Investigation Agency named Malik among five accused in the killing of Kashmiri Pandit woman Sarla Bhat in 1990. India signs deal with US to buy Javelin anti-tank missile systems

The Indian army has signed an agreement with the United States to purchase Javelin anti-tank missile systems, the US embassy in India said on Friday, without disclosing the value of the deal. The medium-range guided missile system, jointly produced by Lockheed Martin and RTX, is designed for use against a range of targets, including armoured vehicles, the embassy said.
