Hyderabad court sends former DC Matiari to jail

On Thursday, a Hyderabad anti-corruption court remanded former Matiari deputy commissioner Adnan Rasheed to judicial custody till December 7. The decision is related to an investigation into a scam concerning land acquisition for the M6 (Hyderabad-Sukkur) motorway. Rasheed was arrested by Hyderabad’s Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) on November 17. Former Saeedabad assistant commissioner Mansoor Abbasi was also involved in the scandal as well as the Saeedabad branch of Sindh Bank. Read More…

Two men sentenced to prison for sharing child pornography on WhatsApp

October 1, 2021: In a child pornography case, a Hyderabad court sentenced two people to three years in jail and a Rs 20,000 fine. The Judicial Magistrate ruled both Waqar and Nadeem guilty, according to Imran Riaz, Additional Director, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). He stated that the FIA Cyber Crime Wing apprehended the perpetrators a year ago based on the information given by Interpol.
