Bahrain condemns Iranian attacks on Kuwait

Bahrain has condemned repeated Iranian missile and drone attacks on neighbouring Kuwait, describing them as a flagrant violation of Kuwaiti sovereignty and a grave breach of international law and the principles of good neighbourliness. In a foreign ministry statement, Bahrain said the attacks undermined regional de-escalation efforts and posed a threat to security and stability. At least one person killed in Israeli attack on Gaza City’s Tal al-Halwa neighbourhood

An Israeli drone attack in Gaza City’s Tal al-Hawa neighbourhood has killed at least one Palestinian person and injured two others, according to the Wafa news agency. The casualties have been brought to al-Quds Field Hospital, the report said. The attack comes after our earlier report of a separate Israeli drone attack on a tent inside Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital complex in central Gaza’s Deir el-Balah, which caused three injuries. Iran parliament speaker says new regional arrangements could mark ‘new phase’

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf says emerging “regional agreements and arrangements could herald the beginning of a new phase, in which Muslim neighbours rely on their own capabilities instead of foreign powers and choose cooperation and brotherhood over exhausting rivalries”, according to the IRIB news agency. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that his country did not start the war in the region but “stood firmly against the aggressors." “The US and the Zionist entity launched a war on Iran,” he said. Fatah condemns Israeli raid on UN facilities

Iraq’s governing coalition warns armed groups face terrorism law after deadline

Iraq’s governing State Administration Coalition has backed continued efforts to bring all weapons under state control and prevent attacks on neighbouring states from taking place inside the country. In a statement issued by the prime minister’s media office, the coalition said using weapons without state authorisation or forming armed groups outside the official security forces constituted a constitutional violation. “Anyone who threatens the country’s security will be considered an outlaw who must be confronted,” it said. Israeli army launches attacks on southern Lebanon

Air strikes have been carried out around the Deir neighbourhood in Nabatiyeh district despite an ongoing “ceasefire”, according to Lebanon’s official National News Agency. Israeli warplanes carried out two air strikes targeting the town, and sounds of explosions were heard with thick smoke rising from the targeted areas, it said.
