Omar Ayub, Shibli, Zartaj move court against disqualification, sentences

Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Omar Ayub, Shibli Faraz, and Zartaj Gul have all approached the Peshawar High Court (PHC) in response to legal actions taken against them in connection with the May 9 riots. According to reports, the three PTI leaders, facing similar terrorism-related convictions and political disqualification, are seeking relief through the judicial system. ECP disqualifies Omar Ayub, Shibli Faraz other PTI lawmakers

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has disqualified Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmakers including Opposition leader in National Assembly Omar Ayub and Senate Opposition Leader Shibli Faraz after conviction in May 9 riots cases. Omar Ayub, Shibli Faraz, other PTI leaders sentenced to 10 years in May 9 cases

Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Faisalabad has sentenced Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders including Omar Ayub, Zartaj Gul, Shibli Faraz to 10 years in prison in connection with the May 9 riots cases. The ATC Faisalabad verdict, announced in cases registered at the Ghulam Muhammadabad and Civil Lines police stations (Case No. 1277 and Case No. 832), convicted 108 individuals, while 77 others were acquitted. LHC directs Punjab Governor to administer CM oath

Lahore: On Wednesday, Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice, Muhammad Ameer Bhatti, instructed Punjab Governor Omar Sarfaraz Cheema to administer the oath to CM-elect Hamza Shahbaz himself or appoint a nominee for this duty by tomorrow. Hamza was elected as Punjab's chief minister on April 16. However, he hasn't sworn in yet as his oath-taking was deferred twice despite the LHC's directives for not to delay the matter any further. 'Use less petrol to avoid price hike': Shibli Faraz

Islamabad: On Wednesday, following the hike in the prices of petroleum products in the country, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Shibli Faraz has advised the public to use "as little fuel as possible". "The prices of the fuel in the international market have reached up to $95," he told, asserting that the government had not imposed taxes on the fuel prices in a bid to give "relief" to the masses.
