DNA Testing Advances in Hina Javed Murder Case

LAHORE: DNA tests of key suspects in the Hina Javed murder case have been completed at the Punjab Forensic Science Agency. Samples from her husband, father-in-law and domestic worker Zeeshan were collected in the presence of her brother, Fahad Javed. During the investigation, Zeeshan allegedly confessed and claimed Hina’s husband offered Rs100,000 for the killing. Both husband Faisal Asghar and his father denied the allegations. Govt increases petrol, diesel prices by Rs55 per litre amid Middle East tensions

The federal government has raised petrol and diesel prices by Rs55 per litre as surging global oil prices, fuelled by the US‑Israel war with Iran, put pressure on domestic energy costs. The announcement was made by Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik in a press conference alongside DPM Ishaq Dar and Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb.
