Three Karachi cops face disciplinary proceedings

KARACHI: Disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against three police officers over their alleged involvement in a scuffle between two residents of an apartment complex in DHA Phase 6 on August 21. South DIG Syed Asad Raza said the policemen had been identified and summoned to appear before him on Monday. Both parties and neighbours were also asked to participate and provide relevant evidence. UAE’s new pipeline bypassing Strait of Hormuz nearly 50% complete, oil chief says

Pakistan, Bangladesh ink deal to combat drug trafficking, vow to boost security ties

Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control Mohsin Naqvi met his Bangladeshi counterpart Salahuddin Ahmed in Dhaka on Saturday, where both sides signed a landmark agreement aimed at strengthening cooperation against drug trafficking and narcotics abuse. During the meeting, the two interior ministers agreed to establish a secretary-level joint working group between the ministries of interior of both countries. WHO chief blames ‘egos’ for failed peace talks

Two injured by falling debris in Abu Dhabi

Two people have been injured after debris fell in two parts of Abu Dhabi following successful air defence interceptions. The first incident resulted in a minor injury to a Jordanian citizen. An Egyptian national suffered moderate injuries in the second incident, Abu Dhabi Medi Office reported. Authorities did not disclose the locations. Residents in Abu Dhabi had received two safety alerts at about 7.15am and 9.55am urging people to take shelter due to missile threats from Iran. Read More…
