Omicron variant: Pakistan reaches highest Covid cases since start of pandemic

Since the pandemic began in 2020, Pakistan has recorded the highest number of daily COVID-19 cases — 7,678 — in the last 24 hours, up from 6,808, the second-highest daily toll, according to official numbers released Friday morning. According to data from the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), the largest daily toll was recorded on June 13, 2020, when the country reported 6,825 coronavirus cases. Covid-19: Total death count exceeds 28,000

As of 11 October, there are 42,263 active COVID cases in Pakistan, with 43,389 tests done on 10 October. So far, 1,188,562 people have been recovered across Pakistan, making it a significant number. The positive cases rate has been updated to 2.31%. There are no patients on the vent in AJK, Balochistan, or GB, and 351 vents are occupied throughout Pakistan. 1,258,959 cases have been identified so far and there were 28,134 fatalities.
