Amnesty urges war crimes probe into Israeli attacks on Lebanon that killed 24

Amnesty International has called for war crimes investigations into three Israeli air attacks on southern Lebanon that killed 24 civilians, including 12 children, in March. The attacks hit homes in Tyre, Sidon and Nabatieh districts on March 6, 12 and 13, killing six women, including a pregnant one, and six men. At least 18 people were wounded. Amnesty International has warned that the recent 27th Constitutional Amendment poses a serious threat to judicial independence and the rule of law, saying it entrenches executive control over the courts and shields key state officials from accountability. 'Assault on woman's dignity': Amnesty, politicians, journalists assail Bihar CM

Amnesty International, Indian politicians and other rights groups have strongly condemned Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for pulling down the hijab (veil) of Nusrat Parveen, a newly recruited Muslim doctor, during an official event. Israeli attacks on Lebanese health sector should be probed as war crimes: Amnesty

Amnesty International on Wednesday said that Israeli attacks on health centres, ambulances and health workers in Lebanon should be investigated as war crimes. According to Amnesty, "the Israeli military's repeated unlawful attacks during the war in Lebanon on health facilities, ambulances and health workers, which are protected under international law, must be investigated as war crimes". Amnesty demands inquiry into Gaza 'enforced disappearances'

Amnesty International called for an urgent investigation into Israel's "enforced disappearance" of Palestinian detainees from Gaza.
