Amazon to cut 9,000 more jobs

It emerged that Amazon, the world's largest online retailer, would lay off about 9,000 employees, or nearly 3 percent of its workforce. The new layoffs are on top of the previous round which began in November last year and stretched into January. Amazon to cut more than 18,000 roles: CEO

According to the reports, Amazon announced to cut more than 18,000 jobs from its workforce. Amazon.com Inc. founder Jeff Bezos said he plans to give the bulk of his fortune, estimated at $124 billion, to charity during his lifetime. India charges Amazon's senior officials for selling Marijuana

Lucknow: According to reports, Indian police had charged senior executives of Amazon.com's (AMZN.O) local department under narcotics laws. The case was registered due to the alleged marijuana smuggling via the online dealer. Madhya Pradesh state police stated that they had arrested two men with 20 KG of marijuana and investigated that they were using the Amazon India website to order and further smuggle the material as stevia leaves, used as a natural sweetener in many Indian states. Amazon.com has launched a one-day free delivery offer for all Brazilian Prime subscribers in 50 cities.
