Road in Duki named after acid attack survivor Dr Nasir

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Sunday announced that a major road in Duki district would be named after Dr Mahnoor Nasir in recognition of her bravery, resilience and medical services. The 29-year-old doctor was seriously injured in an acid attack at Quetta’s Civil Hospital in June. Former prime minister Imran Khan’s accountability chief, Mirza Shahzad Akbar claimed that he came under an ‘acid attack’ by an unidentified assailant at his residence in the United Kingdom (UK). TW: Horrific acid attack on transgender in Karachi

An unknown assailant(s) threw acid on a transgender in the Bilal Colony area of Korangi District on Wednesday, causing 60 percent of his body to be burned. Ghulam Mustafa aka Saima, the victim, is in serious condition and receiving treatment at Civil Hospital's Burns Ward.
