Qatar has denounced the killing of two Israeli embassy staff in Washington. The country is a key mediator in Gaza ceasefire talks, alongside the US and Egypt. “The state of Qatar condemns and denounces the shooting incident in front of the Jewish museum in Washington that led to the killing of two Israeli embassy employees,” the Qatari Foreign Ministry said in a statement, offering its condolences to the families of the victims.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates the state of Qatar’s firm position in rejecting violence, terrorism and criminal acts, regardless of their motives.”
