On the advice of PM Imran Khan, President Arif Alvi has made amendments in electricity tax laws. The third amendment dictates the amount of tax that will be paid by the consumer after a certain limit. A person with an electricity bill up to PKR 20000, 30000, 40000, 50000, 60000 will pay 10%, 15%,20%, 25%, and 30% tax respectively.
