Prime Minister Imran Khan met with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Great Hall of People in Beijing on Sunday, where he praised increased Chinese investment in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Phase-II, which is focused on industrialization and enhancing people’s livelihoods.

This was their “first meeting” since the premier’s visit to the country in October of last year.

The PM emphasised that the two countries’ alliance is the “cornerstone” of Islamabad’s foreign policy.
