Prime Minister Imran Khan has formally inaugurated a 100,000-tonne-capacity polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plant installed by Engro Polymer and Chemicals Limited (EPCL).

According to a release, the factory will enable import replacement of PVC – the world’s third most extensively produced synthetic plastic polymer – while also boosting exports.

PM Imran remarked at the inauguration ceremony that the government was working on initiatives to help local businesses grow, promote import substitution, and enhance exports.
