Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi addressing a press conference said that Pakistan always preferred political settlement over a military solution in Afghanistan. He said, “When the time comes, Pakistan will recognize the Taliban government in line with international consensus, ground realities, as well as Pakistan’s national interests”. He added that Pakistan only seeks peace and stability for Afghanistan.
