In response to the worsening smog crisis in numerous cities, the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday ordered the Punjab government to announce a 50 percent attendance policy for private offices.

The order was issued at a hearing at the high court on smog, during which the Judicial Water and Environmental Commission advised closing schools, but the court rejected the suggestion.

The LHC, on the other hand, directed the Pakistan Disaster Management Authority to establish a pollution cell (PDMA).
