Detained hospital director’s mother dies of heart attack: Report

The mother of Hussam Abu Safiya has died of a heart attack, according to the Quds News Network. Dr Abu Safyia, the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, has been detained by Israel during a raid on December 27, causing an international outcry. Israel first denied having any records of his detention but later admitted he was in their custody for interrogation.
