Oil and electricity rates would rise further, according to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s finance adviser Shaukat Tareen, although not in accordance with the IMF’s wishes.

According to Finance Advisor Shaukat Tareen, the IMF has stated that 600 billion Petroleum Development Levies (PDL) are required, but we have stated that the PDL will not accept this demand. He stated that the subject of PDL had sparked a lot of debate.
