The UN’s relief agency for Palestinian refugees has said civilians in northern Gaza are faced with starvation as Israel’s war continues to wreak devastation on the enclave. “There is no sanctuary,” UNRWA said on X, formerly Twitter, describing widespread Israeli attacks and civilian displacement across Gaza. Intense fighting is taking place in both Khan Younis and Rafah, it said, while people “are on the verge of famine” in northern Gaza.
