Two container ships have been struck by unknown projectiles while transiting the Strait of Hormuz, sustaining minor damage but reporting no casualties, the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said. In two delayed reports, UKMTO said a 19,000-tonne container ship was struck while sailing outbound through the strait, while a 50,000-tonne container ship was hit during an inbound transit. Both incidents took place yesterday.
