Trump Seeks Justice Department Action Against Democrats

US President Donald Trump has directed the Justice Department to investigate Democrats, accusing them of threatening individuals with impeachment and other penalties. The move follows the party’s gains in the midterm elections, which will give Democrats control of Congress in January. Trump also criticised Senator Elissa Slotkin over remarks calling for investigations into individuals who supported his administration’s policies. Slotkin said anyone who breaks the law should be held accountable.
