Russian and Iranian foreign ministers discuss regional issues

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov discussed regional developments on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
"Current regional and international issues were discussed with an emphasis on the situation around Iran," ⁠Russia's Foreign Ministry said in a statement after the meeting. The two sides agreed that a "diplomatic settlement was the only way to end the tension in the Middle East”, the statement added.
