Qatar's public revenue fell 42 per cent in the first half of 2026 amid the regional crisis, while government spending declined 14 per cent, Emir Sheikh Tamim said today, adding that essential services and development priorities had been maintained. Addressing the opening session of the Shura Council, Sheikh Tamim said Qatar had weathered the economic fallout without panic, thanks to policies adopted before the crisis.
