Netanyahu says attack on Iran ‘not convenient’ before Israeli elections

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has suggested he is against attacking Iran in the days before Israel’s elections. Mr Netanyahu said an attack “is not convenient for us” during an interview on Army Radio. Israel’s elections are due to take place on October 27. His comments come a day after Israeli media reports that he had urged US President Donald Trump to resume air strikes before the Israeli vote, which will take place one week before the US midterms.
