Nepal Holds Vigil as Search for the Missing Continues

Nepal observed a national day of mourning on Monday after devastating glacial floods killed and displaced thousands, while families hoped missing hydropower workers could still be rescued. Flags were lowered and candlelight vigils planned as rescue teams continued searching on the ground, from the air and inside tunnels. Recent rescues of several trapped workers have raised hopes, though relatives urged authorities to accelerate operations amid widespread destruction.
