Iran said on Saturday that a second supertanker “burst into flames” after hitting a naval mine in the Gulf on Saturday morning.“This super tanker also had more than 2 million barrels of crude oil,” the IRGC's Navy said in a statement. It passed through an "illegal route" by switching off its positioning and radar systems, it said.
"The release was initiated by the National Committee for Prisoners Affairs and does not fall under the Stockholm Agreement. The ICRC did not play any role in determining who or how many people would be released," said the statement.
