Iran ‘dictates which ships can enter and exit the Gulf’

Aaron Kennedy, an associate analyst in maritime intelligence and security with the global consultancy Control Risks, says Iran currently dictates which ships enter or exit the Gulf. “The situation now on the Strait of Hormuz is the same as it has been since the US and Israeli strikes on Iran began,” he told Al Jazeera. “Iran is dictating which ships can enter and exit the Gulf and attacking those ships that seek to sail without Iran’s permission,” the analyst added.
