ICRC supports release of 159 detainees in Sanaa

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said on Saturday that is supported the release of 159 people detained in Yemen. They were "unilaterally released by authorities in Sanaa", said the ICRC in a statement.

"The release was initiated by the National Committee for Prisoners Affairs and does not fall under the Stockholm Agreement. The ICRC did not play any role in determining who or how many people would be released," said the statement.
