Attempts to isolate Iran likely to backfire

Iranian authorities will choose escalation over surrendering, in response to the US’s latest bout of sanctions on Tehran, says Lorenzo Kamel, a history professor at the University of Turin in Italy. “History tells us that the attempt to isolate Iran will bring precisely the opposite,” Kamel told Al Jazeera.
