A security alert regarding a possible threat to mosques at the Civil Secretariat during Friday prayers triggered the evacuation of several government offices in Peshawar. Employees hurriedly left their workplaces after receiving the alert. Chief Minister Sohail Afridi later dismissed the threat as fake, saying the scare was intended to spread panic. Several departments reportedly remained largely deserted after the warning.
