Lebanese president warns against internal division

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun says there’s no alternative to negotiations with Israel to end the war, warning against internal divisions that could threaten the country’s stability. In a post by the Lebanese presidency on X, Aoun said Lebanon is committed to preserving peace, adding “anyone who fuels provides a service to Israel”. Aoun highlighted that Lebanon has lost more than 3,000 people during the conflict, with about one million displaced and thousands of homes destroyed.
