The Israeli prime minister will not fly to the United States because of the postponement of the memorial service for Senator Lindsey Graham, his office says. Benjamin Netanyahu was expected to travel there on Saturday and stay until Tuesday to attend the funeral service, according to Israeli media reports. Graham – a staunch supporter of Israel and critic of Iran – died after a “brief and sudden illness” last week. Netanyahu called the hardline US senator a close friend and a strong supporter of the US-Israel alliance and praised his commitment to Israel’s security.
