Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was expected to meet municipal leaders from the north for the first time in almost four months, Israeli media reported. Since Israel launched its war on Gaza and southern Lebanon last October, about 60,000 Israelis from northern communities have evacuated their border towns and are classified as displaced persons living in government-funded accommodation.
