The Kremlin says Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold talks on Ukraine with US envoy Steve Witkoff in Moscow on Tuesday afternoon. “The meeting with Witkoff is planned for tomorrow,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters in a briefing, adding it will take place “in the second half of the day”. Witkoff has emerged as the US’s key interlocutor with Putin since President Donald Trump returned to the White House in January. Peskov neither confirmed nor denied whether a statement will be issued after the latest meeting between Putin and Witkoff in the Russian capital, which will follow weekend talks between Ukrainian and US officials, including Witkoff, in Florida.
