The Israeli army claimed to have killed Hamas officials operating in the southern city of Rafah. Five senior members of Hamas’s Rafah emergency committee were killed in Israeli air strikes on Tuesday, the army said in an X statement on Wednesday. The men helped the “military arm establish continued control and activity in the area”, it added.
