Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that his country would keep close ties with Washington regardless of who the next president is. His comments, made before his departure for the US on Monday, came hours after US President Joe Biden pulled out of the November presidential race. “I am leaving this for a very important trip to the United States at a time when Israel is fighting on seven fronts and when there is great political uncertainty in Washington,” Mr Netanyahu told reporters.
