Israel agreed to revise the lyrics of its potential submission to the Eurovision Song Contest after organizers raised concerns over verses that appeared to refer to the October 7 attacks, Israeli national broadcaster Kan reported. Eurovision, which this year will run from May 7 to 11 in the Swedish city of Malmo, describes itself as a non-political event and can disqualify contestants deemed to breach that rule. Broadcaster Kan is to choose Israel’s entry. The leading submission is October Rain, a ballad by female soloist Eden Golan.
