Kataib Sayyid al-Shuhada, an Iran-backed Iraqi armed group, says it will cooperate with efforts to regulate weapons in the country only if 10 conditions are met, foremost among them the complete withdrawal of US forces from Iraq. The group has longstanding links to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). In a statement, the group demanded an end to any US military presence “under any title” and called for Iraqi airspace to be barred from being used to launch attacks against neighbouring countries.
