New Delhi: It was reported that Union minister of state for home affairs Nityanand Rai told the Parliament, Lok Sabha, that 1,11,287 Indian citizens had renounced their citizenship this year till September 20. He also informed the Parliament that 10,645 foreign subjects, mostly from Pakistan and Afghanistan, applied for Indian citizenship between 2016 and 2020.
