Yemen’s Houthis claimed responsibility for an attack on US-registered ship Genco Picardy in the Gulf of Aden on Wednesday evening. “The Yemeni Armed Forces confirm that a response to the American and British attacks is inevitably coming, and that any new attack will not remain without response and punishment,” their statement added. The Houthis said that they would continue to attack Israeli ships or those heading to the ports of “occupied Palestine until the aggression stops and the siege imposed on the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip is lifted”.
