Houthi spokesman Mohammed Abdul Salam said that the United Nations resolution on navigation on the Red Sea was a “political game” and accused the US of breaking international law. The Houthis have claimed the attacks as “legitimate defense” in response to Israel’s attacks on Gaza. “We call on the Security Council to immediately release 2.3 Million people from the Israeli-American siege in Gaza,” Mr Salam wrote on X.
