Israel’s deadly strikes on a tent camp in western Rafah, which it had previously designated as a safe zone, was “far from the area” where fighting was taking place, senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan said. “The claim that there were armed men at the site of the massacre while it was being carried out is a shameless and false supplication, refuted by the images of the bodies of the martyred civilians, children and women,” Mr Hamdan said in Beirut.
