Five rockets were launched from the Iraqi town of Zummar toward a US military base in north-eastern Syria on Sunday, two Iraqi security sources told Reuters. The attack is the first since early February when Iranian-backed groups in Iraq halted their attacks on US troops. It came on the day Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al Sudani returned from a visit to the US, where he met President Joe Biden at the White House.
