A Hamas delegation left Cairo on Saturday night after talks with Egyptian officials on efforts to end the war in Gaza, a group statement read. The delegation, chaired by head of the group’s leadership council Mohamed Darwish, reviewed the vision to reach a comprehensive deal that achieves a ceasefire, the exchange of prisoners and hostages, relief and reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, Hamas said. It added that “it was agreed to exert more efforts and continue contacts to ensure the success of these efforts”.
