On Jan 8, the New York-based Committee to Protect Journalists asked Indian authorities to immediately release a journalist in Indian-occupied Kashmir (IoK). He was arrested by the police for uploading a video clip of a protest against the Indian regime. The media watchdog asked Indian authorities to “drop their investigation related to his journalistic work”.
